The International
Student Experience Index offers two shared-cost surveys several times a year.
With Your Study Abroad Students

Your current study abroad students are surveyed while they are in programs outside
the US.
Questions are designed
to explore:
—Perceived
strengths and weaknesses of students' study abroad programs and academic standards.
—Student experiences abroad and ways in which they may have exceeded, met or fallen
short of expectations.
—Preparation
and adaptation to foreign program teaching and grading styles.
—Challenges faced with housing, banking, work/study programs, technology access, living expenses,
etc.
—Ease of acclimation
and attitudes toward cultural and social integration.
With Your International Students on Campus

Your international students are
surveyed while they are at your institution.
Questions are designed to explore:
—Ease of cultural transition to the US and unanticipated social challenges, both on- and off-campus.
—Student experiences in the US and ways in which they may have exceeded, met or fallen short of expectations.
—Adaptation to American academic teaching and grading styles.
—Availability and usefulness of international office information, academic staff and resources.
—Perceived excellence and likely word-of-mouth about host university.
